Jesus R. Gonzalez was born in Cuba and raised in Puerto Rico. He is a battle-tested litigator and the founding attorney of Jesus R. Gonzalez, P.A. Before establishing himself as a relentless advocate for personal injury victims in Miami, Jesus served his country on the front lines. Enlisting in the U.S. Army at just 17 years old, he served as an Infantryman and a Long Range Marksman in a Sniper section with the 1st Cavalry Division. During his combat deployment to Baghdad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, his courage and composure under fire earned him the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Cavalry's Order of the Combat Spur, and multiple Army Commendation Medals.
Following his active-duty combat tour, Jesus continued his service in the Army National Guard from 2008 to 2012 with the historic 65th Infantry Regiment in Puerto Rico. When escalating violence threatened local communities, he was activated for an 18-month deployment, leading a 10-man tactical team in high-risk joint operations alongside law enforcement in Canóvanas and Loíza. His leadership during this domestic crisis earned him the Puerto Rico National Law Enforcement Ribbon.
Education
Jesus brings military discipline, tactical preparation, and unshakable focus to the courtroom. He pursued his legal education with unmatched drive, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology Summa Cum Laude, followed by his Juris Doctor from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude. To further master the art of the courtroom, he obtained a highly specialized Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Trial Advocacy from California Western School of Law. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2015.
Military
In addition to his aggressive representation of accident victims in private practice, Jesus continues to answer the call of duty. He currently serves as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps, where his expertise in international law and the laws of war provides critical guidance to military commanders.
